We delivered a hello to Muzaki from London. He’d only moved to Melbourne a couple of months ago.
"I feel warm inside"
Then. We tried to deliver two. At a bar nearby.
I quipped they’re probably for a couple to eachother.
They didn’t reply. So we loitered outside bar.
As a group came out I fella and I made eye contact.
How do i know him….
"hey, do you have a dog?"
"Yes. I thought it was you!"
We’d managed to find my deliverer.
I got a hug from him. And met his lovely girlfriend. (yep the messages were for a couple)
And we talked about you, Miranda, and the app.
There pauses the story, until Cody and I or his girlfriend or any of my friends cross paths again.
I may have been a bit tipsy.
But i quipped:
"this is why the internet was created."
And i kinda (undrunk) believe it.
Because no matter where me or my friends or family are - we’re always missing someone. And no imagining of hugs, high fives and hand holding is as good as the real thing.
so thanks. x
